AusEmade about Australia and what we like about this magnificent continent… landscapes, flora and fauna, selected destinations, exhibitions, festivals and events. It is a website with unexpected treasures (hence our Western Bowerbird mascot) that reflect the many interests and passion of ourselves, other travellers and fans of our website. We also have a creative writers outlet through our blogs, including our blogger Koh Lin.

Distinguished and Famous people from Eden Coast
🌟 George Davidson
George Davidson belonged to the family associated with shore-based whaling at Twofold Bay. Its history includes the unusual relationship between whalers and the killer whales that helped them locate and hunt larger whales. When Old Tom died in 1930, Davidson helped bring the body ashore and prepare the bones for preservation. The skeleton became a central exhibit at Eden Killer Whale Museum. His local legacy sits within the difficult history of whaling as well as the effort to preserve evidence of that extraordinary working relationship.
